Please spare one moment to leave this class a quick comment telling them who and where you are. Once the pupils understand that they have a global audience for their writing, they will use their blog from outside of school to write about things that interest them. Any comment left will be checked before being approved and the pupils will be encouraged to reply later .

What an amazing time we had on our special day this week. We baked cakes, made carnival masks and even learnt how to play the steel drums. We really loved performing for our families during our Caribbean cafe. Thank you so much for coming to see us and a special thank you to Andy for our wonderful music lessons.

What a wonderful day we had on Sports Day! The weather was beautiful and the sun shone on us all morning. The children displayed their fantastic skills and super team work. They all worked so hard to earn points for their team. Well done to all of you for your super sporting attitudes and dedication to your team. Congratulations to Talbot for being the overall winners.

We had a wonderful day on Friday celebrating the Queen’s birthday. We had a special assembly and we were lucky enough to welcome the Salvation Army band. Miss Fraser and Mrs Gorse also did a fantastic performance for us. The rain stopped and the sun came out just in time for our wonderful tea party outside. Thank you to all who made it such a super day.

We did some more work on capacity last week when we measured the correct amounts to make milkshake. It was very tasty too!

In our maths work we have been measuring capacity. We have learnt that volume is measured in l and ml. We worked really hard in our groups to find out if the containers held more or less than 1l.

In our new connector we will be finding out about the Caribbean. We have been looking at Caribbean traditional tales and learning about a trickster called Anansi the spider.

What a fabulous morning we had!! We woke up to the pouring rain but that was not going to stop us on our search for mini beasts. We put on our wellies and waterproofs and off we went. By the time we reached Lytham Hall the rain had stopped and we could see blue skies. We met with Julie from Park View who had some awesome activities planned for us. We worked in our teams to find leaves, flowers and bark to match our colour charts. We searched for mini beasts in the water trays and in the woods. What a variety of creatures we found!! Thank you so much to all our super helpers and of course to our Park View Rangers for a fantastic day.
